doesn't sound so much like a defence from BC as him being frustrated at Abram's. Abram's probably made a huge massive deal about keeping it a secret, probably making life rather hard for some of the actors in the process by the sounds of it.

I do think BC does sound a bit peeved, even if he is trying to laugh it off. JJ is a noted master of secrecy, so it strikes me as suspicious that he should suddenly say 'We should have said it was Khan from the get go!' I reckon Paramount are looking for someone to blame cos it 'only' made about $450 million at the box office.

I don't see why he'd have to. I'm American and I've never heard it any other way but "tempest".

I think JJ. is saying this things because he think now he would gain more money if he had reveled more about Ben Character being Khan. He lost audience and money he could attract with the Khan figure considering he had a twist anyway ( ... )

about the whole Khan thing I think the mistake was not making Ben simply John Harrison the prince augment of part Europe, making himself passing at Khan in order to make sure his leader was not used as he was been used.

yup, absolutely agreed!

i was hoping the real plot twist would be when Jim wakes up the real Khan sleeping in one of those torpedoes and he is then pissed off at Harrison for pretending to be him ;) .

Abrams lost money because the movie is a pile of crap, not because the reveal backfired. He should face up to that and stop pretending it was some kind of masterpiece.
