With the help of all you fine GQMFers, The Gold Standard raised $1,015.00 in 2009, and in 2010 we raised $1,042.00.

The Gold Standard is walking again this year in the 2011 Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes walk-a-thon, taking place at the Guadalupe River Park in San Jose, CA.

Donating again this year (well, on payday which is Thursday).

My grandmother has diabetes and several other (now deceased) family members of mine have had diabetes. This is especially important to me, though, because I found out just over a month ago that I am also diabetic. I just wish I was in San Jose so I could join you!
