Trek costumes currently on exhibit in Kalamazoo, MI!

Thanks - and seriously, I had to take that closeup, because I'd been trying to figure out what the heck was going on with that thing and squinting at the TV footage for MONTHS. So thrilled when I found out that THE reference image was going to be in town. ;)

I had no idea they were so sparkly! Really, everything is more sparkly than it appeared on TV. Which is... kind of saying something.

It's so worth it! And really, the rest of the museum is pretty cool. I mean, we have a real mummy and everything. :D

...Now I'm really curious as to what's Trek-related in MI that is NOT cool. XD (Aside from me, I'm a dedicated uncool dork.) I mean, we even have Romulus!

Michigan as in southwestern Michigan... there is NOTHING cool around me, if I want to see something cool I would have to take a long day trip somewhere. :/

...I forget that for a lot of people it's like "We're three whole hours from both Chicago and Detroit!" rather than "We're only three hours from both Chicago and Detroit!" ;) I'm a regular congoer and Pistons fan, so I'm always making those long day trips...

But yeah! I'm so pleased we have something right here for once instead of the cool stuff bypassing Kalamazoo for either of the more obvious cities. (Though we also did have the first ever community theater production of Avenue Q a couple years ago, and the president gave the commencement at one of our high schools a few weeks ago. I rather like my hometown, honestly, but it is awkwardly situated for big things. =))
