The beginning doesn't really say anything, does it? And not because they're being coy. so they stewed him into the water What does that even mean!? Stewed into?

I really hope Misha doesn't get too busy to come back and be awesome later in the season. I hate when the actors/characters I really want to see can't appear due to scheduling conflicts.

We purposely left it ambiguous. In the life of the show, they just suffered the death of one of their best friends

So basically, "to Sam and Dean", he's dead.

When we called Mischa to let him know that we had this plan for the character, we talked about this on a longer schedule than in these first two episodes.
