that's surprising... i thought there was some legit foreshadowing going on in the earlier seasons to the whole angel mytharc

I did too. I keep finding little moments where I'm like "OH, FORESHADOW" and then Kripke's all "no lol" and shoots me down.

This! Especially in Houses of the Holy. I remember rewatching that episode and thinking omg Kripke is a genius, but now he says he knew nothing back then? Oh well, whatever~

Me too. I remember there's somewhere in... season 2, I think? where Sam uses Castiel's name in a banishing ritual, so I was like "WOW, ACTUAL FORESHADOWING?" But no. :|
