lol i don't know much about voir history but i would guess that it's more than likely the coach used to favor them and know they're throwing a temper tantrum at losing attention

sorry the pecking order was disrupted, learn to deal plz. marlie were very gracious back in '10 and never complained about voir being gold medal favorites, i think voir can do the same

From watching Tessa and Scott's show, it seems like Marina had to baby them a lot. Okay, baby is not the correct term, but Marina seems to be more gentle with V/M. It's always seemed like D/W always knew how much they needed to improve in order to overtake V/M and Marina could be much tougher. Obviously you have to treat the teams differently but I think D/W has shown a lot more growth over the last quad. V/M will always have beautiful skating and their OGM moment on home ice was probably more special and significant than D/W's win but Canada really needs to get over it and stop throwing subtle shade all around even when they're trying to ~be gracious. It's starting to get really tacky

Also this is a little OT but when watching the BTS of their Visa commercial Meryl says that when they practice twizzles she listens for Charlie's blade so she knows how in sync they are. IDK if that's probably common in ice dance but it's the first time I've heard someone explain the mechanics of it like that and IDK, I just thought that was really cool.

yeah they rarely get into that much detail!
I only heard it once before from a pairs skater about sidebyside spins. I just can't imagine how to train your ear for that! I'm in awe.
