"Nothing would make me more proud than to step on the Olympic ice one more time with the flag on my chest and USA on my back."

I wonder how Vera's going to work those into his costume, seeing as that would be a pretty unusual addition to Samson and Delilah...

Ahahah, this sentence made me wonder too.

I mean, it's obvious that he wants to "represent his country" again, but - Evan, darling. Use your words. Don't just spout things you think sound pretty and patriotic. Unless you intend to take up hockey or some other sport where they wear uniforms like that. Which I might be more interested in watching, actually!

(Though I just assume his costumes will be black as usual.)

Maybe he's fantasizing about being a summer Olympian, where the athletes generally wear their team uniform warmup suits for the medal ceremoneies. He might be forgetting that figure skaters typically accept their medals while still, you know, wearing the actual costumes they competed in. <*eyeroll*>

Heh, there was a time when I would have been super-excited about this but the Bro has pissed me off one times to many. He even blocked me on Twitter during the Johnny disaster when I was being perfectly polite to him and just called him out on his bullshit. Good times xD Way to treat someone who was your fan long before you got an Olympic medal.

The above actually sounds more bitter than I am, because now I'm long past caring.

Also those are SUCH ORIGINAL MUSIC CHOICES. I JUST CAN NOT DEAL WITH THE CREATIVITY ON DISPLAY HERE.

Plus he might have another spat about money and not appear again :P

So creative. And such a break from his previous musical choices! Evan Lysacek skating to Spanish guitar? I might faint from shock!

If he dragged out the actual Espana Cani he did a million times back in the day this would be kind of hilarious but maybe even entertaining. I actually I prefer a lot of his earlier programs when he wasn't just a point counting brobot and had some flair and enthusiasm on the ice.

"I am returning to competitive skating with the ultimate goal of representing the U.S. at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi and successfully defending my Olympic title,"

lolwhat? No you won't. Plushenko can stumble and fall over twice in the free skating and will still win the platinum gold medal. I mean, Sochi is in Russia! And given that I'm still bitter about Vancouver, I hope this is exactly what will happen!

Seriously, I don't even know who I hate more, Lysacek or PChan =P

I'd rather see another version of Lillehammer, when none of the champions who'd reinstated even made the medal podium. TBH, I'd perfer a podium of fresh, new faces (well, it'd be nice to see Takahashi on the podium again, preferably with the gold medal, but pigs will fly first). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Plushy and Lysacek wipe up the ice with their asses in Sochi (or better yet, don't even make their respective national teams). A Jason-Joshua US team for the Olympics would be hilarious! If Johnny Weir shows he's really serious about his return to competition this season, I might find it in my fossilized old heart to root for him in Sochi, but that's a very big "if". He's going to have to prove himself if I'm ever going to waste emotional energy rooting for that flakeball again.

Oh, and Evan's music choices? ROTFL!

I see great minds think alike! :D

I just think it would be really funny, that both Johnny and Evan seem to be so dismissive of the younger skaters, if they got their butts handed to them...

C'mon Jase, land the 3A. Shit's about to get real.
