In 1989, Peter Gabriel wrote the album Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ. Originally, it was meant to be the soundtrack for the movie of the same title, but the author kept on developing the music after the film's release, eventually creating an independent album. I saw that performance live from the front row and literally gasped. One of the most memorable SOI programs ever.

My mother recently referred to it as "the guy who did the bird routine," which made me fall over laughing.

The whole "Passion" CD rocks seven ways to Sunday, by the way. Awesome music!
