I'm... actually REALLY surprised that she isn't in it already. Consistency is about the hardest thing in Figure Skating....

I think they have to wait at least five years after the skater is retired/has stopped competing in order to induct them.

But hey, she's the lone inductee for next year, so that's saying something considering Tara Lipinski also received this honor, Sarah Hughes was inducted with two other people/pairs, and Kristi Yamaguchi was inducted with three others.
