Oh Yuna ;_________________;

I feel like her candidness in this interview shows that she's beginning to stop caring about what Korean mass media and "the nation" thinks about her, though. That's a good sign, right? Also, maybe she's just understating it, but if she really does only have minor pain in her knees, then she's a lot better off than many skaters and can retire without too many health problems in the future. IDK I'M JUST TRYING TO FIND A SILVER LINING IN ALL OF THIS

it's a good sign, yeah but idk i'm worried if she takes it too far because korean netizens are the most pressed people in the world lol i'm pretty sure sometime in the future there'll be something about her being ungrateful or smth. and tbh the government/skating association was a mess when she first started out so it's not like she really has anything to be thankful for lol but y'know, korea.

- Poor girl seriously I never saw such a sad interview from a skater. I mean yeah sometimes they while say that they didn't want to skate and all but for yuna is like they force her to do it all the time and that is really really sad.

- Oh god js yuna mom is terrible. And I thought that mama bjou was a kinda of a nightmare but yuna mom wins all

- Seriously I hope she doesn't come back. I hope this interview shows to her fans that she is not happy in competition and she doesn't want to do that.

IDK how you picked on this from her interview. If you really think about her mother that way, you misunderstood her words. Given all she's been saying from time to time, Yuna has the most respect for her mother than anyone else and wouldn't not stand another bashing starting on her. This is not Yuna's intention in this interview and I think that situation you're feeling uncomfortable is about her past skating life because I remember watching her say similar things which had happened in her wild adolescent years in her TV appearances and also reading it in her essay.

This entire interview made me ;_____________________________;

I didn't even know her dad existed. I thought she was a single- mother upbringing.

Her father has been in most times behind the curtains during all those Yuna's hardworks and success. Vancouver Olympics was his first appearance to cheer his daughter publicly and before then he hadn't do so for he was worried and didn't want to distract Yuna's training which if he had, definitely caused a big media upheaval in the middle of times of concentration and hard training. Yuna and her father just talked through the phone when she was abroad.

It's the most depressing interview of an OGM I've ever read :( Let the kid alone and let her live - to have friends, to have a boyfriend, to enjoy doing her thing. She has a world title, an Olympic gold medal and the skating starts to take a toll on her health - that's all is a pretty good reason to leave.

This is such a depressing interview. But I'm happy that she was so honest. I hope she can find something else that she loves to do and won't be forced to skate again.
