I was thinking it would be so cool if they had a group gala, at least between D/W and V/M. I don't know if it's allowed, but I doubt there would be a situation where either one didn't make the gala when they were at the same event.
Alex is all sorts of awesome. Not to take anything away from Maia, but I have a feeling he's going to be one of my favorite male ice dancers ever. He shines and has such great lines, while still presenting and supporting his partner. It's funny that he is the tallest, but has the tiniest partner. They almost have a pairs difference, right?
With the exception of have similar competing lift types, *sometimes*, you can't even tell they are coached and choreographed by the same people. Marina and Igor are boss for letting them express themselves and being able to do all those different styles. I'm sure they get help, but it's still impressive.
ITA, love love Alex. He's such a caring partner and he presents Maia really well, easily my favorite male ice dancer right now. Both he and Maia have superb upper body carriage and posture, I mean just look at their dancer-like backs and arm positions...so much polish already and scary to know that they'll continue to improve b/c they're still so young! Yeah it's true that petite Maia and tall Alex makes for funny yet striking pair on ice.
Yes, I'd like to see D/ W & V/ M especially mix it up, I have a feeling they'd all still be awesome, especially Meryl and Scott.

Seeing all their twizzles and lifts back to back to back like that was epic. XD

Alex is one of the tallest ice dancers that I've seen who is also a great skater AND partner.
For exhibition or show one day, they should all switch partners, that'll be interesting.
Team Canton proves friendship is possible among fierce competitors-- Yuna and Mao crazy stans take note.

I love the part in the kiss and cry where Scott looks up at the score board and says something like...Hey! Maia and Alex...and Tessa says, Ahhh nice.
