Honestly, unless there's some shady business going on, Russia does have the strongest bid:

#Large, modern stadium
#Large and available fanbase
#Full funding

Canada should really be off the table immediately since they have Worlds in 2013 (I'd be saying the same for France if they offered)

I have to say though...Croatia and Austria are tempting maybe because I could possibly go :P

Maybe I just can't get on board with this type of immature thinking, but in a last minute situation I really don't see how it matters. If Canada can handle it I'm all for it. Hell if they hold it in Vancouver I might go (road trip). I also don't see how another Asian country holding it would be a slap in the face to Japan either.

I do think Russia is the best bet though.

Maybe I just can't get on board with pompous, self-important feedback, but why is it immature?

France and Canada both have up-coming Worlds scheduled, therefore they shouldn't be considered to hold this year's event, unless it was a case of only them being able to. Which it evidently isn't.

Uh huh...

I think it's selfish and immature of federations to be more worried about who gets what turn or how many turns over picking the best, easiest, most reliable place for Worlds to happen. Right now the what is in the best interest of the skaters should be the highest concern. The skaters are already limbo and probably losing condition, all of this bs delaying isn't helping the situation.

Canada is a good option with the right resources. To me it's silly to rule them out, clearly it isn't to you.
