"I'm Italian and that wouldn't be right," he said.
THE ISU: AVOIDING ANY APPEARANCE OF NEPOTISM WITH AS MUCH FERVOR AS THEY AVOID ANY APPEARANCE OF COMMON SENSE

Lol, I *AM* the ISU. K, Speedy.

Actually, my only problem with Worlds being in Italy is the prospect of putting up with that horrific camera work from last year (raaaaage). But at this point, you know, whatever, broadcast it on the radio, just hold the gd competition.

What Speedy means is that the ISU cannot turn its back to the Japanese market, I suppose. If they have a (by necessity) rushed Worlds in another country for April or May, there probably won't be the chance to sell many tickets. OTOH if things in Japan stablizes by October, they could still make a profit. Obviously that's much more important to the ISU than what's good for the skaters.

Excactlyyy.... I'm studying abroad this semester, and normally I would be FREAKING OUT about the possibility of having WORLDS in Finland but now if they were held there I wouldn't be able to attend :( :/
