The skating world needs a revolution amd I'm serious: the figure needs its own union, without Speedy, and it needs a new boss, somebody who actually loves skating and not just wants to milk all the possible money using the skaters. Yeah, skating need money but they seem not to care for the athletes at fucking all.

Yeah, why not? He can't be worse than Cinquanta at management, that not possible and he for sure cares for skating.

It's not just one or two skaters' training schedules... it's more like a vast majority of them. Imo, no Worlds at all is better for Tokyo than a Worlds with poor performances and thoughts of the earthquake hanging over everybody as they realize why all the skaters are doing so badly. Worlds in October is just going to be an embarrassment for the ISU, the skaters, and Japan.

Worlds in October would be an utter joke though, there are so many logistical problems with it. The kerfuffle there would have to be over the short dances alone should have put him off.

And tbh it should be about the athletes, without them there wouldn't be a World Championship. They shouldn't be asked to risk overtraining and injury when instead Tokyo could host in another year, and this year's event could either be sensible rescheduled or outright cancelled.

FFS. While the crisis in Japan is obviously a much more important concern than the Worlds it does not mean you have to keep the skaters in uncertainty. Speedy's asshattery knows no limits >:(
