Voyager 1 is at the edge of the Solar System

13 Dec 2010 - PASADENA, Calif. - The 33-year odyssey of NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft has reached a distant point at the edge of our solar system where there is no outward motion of solar wind.

Wow! It's so cool to think that we've made it! Of course the Voyager is just a little hunk of metal. But to think that it's already left the solar wind, and is now almost all the way into deep interstellar space! Baby steps, yes, but this is such a milestone for space travel.

Well to be fair it does have on board a 70s style phonograph with Jimmy Carter's voice and other stuff recorded onto it lol, so it might be the last thing that ever exists from the human race if we earthlings self annihilate etc etc
