Sadly, that's likely. But the planet is 20 light-years away so we won't get there tomorrow. Here's hoping that we'll have learned our lesson by then. :-/

While they're kind of glossing over all the meteorological effects of a tidally-locked planet (stable temperatures = ONE HUGE, UNENDING HURRICANE ON THE LIGHT SIDE, by my understanding), this is still pretty much awesome.

The hot atmosphere/cold atmosphere interface must be quite something too. Let's hope it's the first of many discoveries of this kind!
