Ever since doing a school semester in Arizona, I've been fascinated by the ways people come up with take care of growing their own food in the desert, so this definitely caught my eye ( Read more... )

Sounds like that desert survival technique of digging a hole, covering it with a plastic bag or something like that and waiting for the water to condense so you can drink it. Though I suppose for $7.1 million dollars it's probably a little more advanced.

20 British pounds (about 28 USD) per unit, plus s&h is rather steep. Otherwise I'd consider product testing here in TX. It gets to and stays 100-115 June-Sept.

Honestly the price is far too high for large-scale farming. I'm not sure how he's going to scale this up and make it affordable to the people who need it.

Otherwise, it's a pretty good invention.
