I find this pretty awesome both scientifically and theologically. I like it when people figure out the 'how' to back up a story like this, especially when it requires a lot of specific circumstances coming together to make the story work out right.

Yup. I'm an agnostic leaning strongly towards atheist but this kind of thing still makes me excited. It gives you an idea how these stories came about and might've been seen as mythological to the people at the time.
