She lives in a bubble. During the height of the Katrina disaster, Condi was out on the town in New York city. As people were dying in the streets of New Orleans, she was shopping for shoes and seeing Spamalot on Broadway.

Blech. I love how the facts just *don't support* the GOP version of, well....everything.

First-hand experience of a European here: Obama is not, and never has been, anywhere near as impopular as Bush was. This is completely obvious to anyone who has been here for the last 10 years. Whether Obama deserves it or not is another question, but the fact is that anti-Americanism has declined massively since 2004, when it felt like big parts of the world just wanted the USA to sink into the ocean.

I'm an American and I spent two years living Europe during the Bush presidency. It got so tiresome explaining to people that I DID NOT VOTE FOR BUSH and I DON'T LIKE HIM EITHER. (Except in Albania where they LOVE America.) Since Obama became president I've done some international travel and it is a vast improvement. No longer do people want me to personally take responsible for US foreign policy.

My guess is Condi has never actually talked to any normal people in other countries who weren't also high level politicians.

edited for coherency problem.

Ugh, Bush got my French class yelled at in France in 2004. Don't talk to me about Obama making us look bad.

Given that even the right wing here in the UK disdains/hates the Republican party... yeah. How about no?
