I’ve studied, admired and gotten to know a lot of leaders in my life. Across Florida, in Washington and around the country, I've watched the failure of those who favor extreme rhetoric over sensible compromise, and I've seen how those who never lose sight of solutions sow the greatest successes.

So my folks looked at the numbers of how much my grandmother's voucher would be worth. According to them, my grandmother's voucher would be $14,000 dollars, essentially covering only three months of her medical care.

They're completely worthless. The entire purpose of the voucher system is to gradually return us to the days before social security, a time that fiscal conservatives (ie, the ones who are disgustingly wealthy.) endlessly masturbate over.

JFC. That's scary. My mom turns 65 next year and she'll go on Medicare when she retires eventually (just bought herself a new car, so it will be a few years). My sister manages a Subway and I am just starting out. There's no way we'll be able to afford to help her. Hoping that the Affordable Care Act stays in tact and any changes make it better.

Wow. He must be (or was) that last moderate Republican you hear about. Refreshing to see someone talk about issues rather than just parrot party lines.
