While congressional ethics travel rules passed in 2007 ban entities that employ lobbyists from paying for trips that last more than one day, the Israel trip appears to have taken advantage of a loop-hole that allows lobbying companies to set up connected 501(c)(3) entities to pay for trips.

So lobbyists get to set up tax exempt shell companies to use to bribe legislators with free vacations? Great.

Perhaps they're trying to keep the Tea Party press from finding out about this little sponsored trip? This might be exactly the kind of thing the Tea Party claims to be against? Big spending and our Government being "influenced by foreign interests." Just a few days after the Debt debacle that riled up so many of their members.

There's your party putting those tax dollars at work, Tea Party.
