As a student and lover of history this makes me want to bang my head repeatedly against the wall. Like, shit. Just. I mean. This has never been a good idea like it's been a really bad one that has always been used to systemically disenfranchise huge swaths of people like dude that's what your friendly neighbourhood KKK chapter did for shits and giggles on a Friday night and I can't even with this how can you suggest something like this and still be considered a politically viable candidate for any kind of public office what the fuck.

Ooooh, he's attempting to backpedal now. Damn, I did not realize that there were so many time travelers in the GOP.
