God I hate this expectation/fashion thing of being hairless. I resent the shit out of having to shave half my body just to be acceptable. If I were a stronger person I'd say "screw it" and go natural, but I'm not. I'm weak and I give in and do it, but I hate it. My skin never looks smooth and beautiful like it's "supposed to" anyway, even when I do shave, so I don't know why I bother.

... Sorry. Ranted a bit there. Just sick of cutting myself, getting razor burn, spending money on razors and shave cream/gel, taking the time to shave everything, never feeling totally smooth and having prickly stubble... UGH.

Razor burn/bumps are the absolute worst. I get them so so bad.

ME TOO. And there doesn't seem to be a THING I can do about it. I've tried multiple shaving gels/creams, body wash, conditioner, baby oil, different razors, shaving fast, shaving slow... I do not know what the bloody secret is. *angryface*

UGH I KNOW.

I feel like I've tried everything and I cannot get them to disappear. Damn my sensitive skin and damn beauty expectations on women and damn myself for yielding to what society says. -_-

Ugh, I hate the pressure for women to be hairless. I'm not opposed to trimming and shaving the bikini line area, but that's all my (currently theoretical) boyfriend is getting.

A friend told me a few weeks ago that she'd gotten her "downstairs hair" lasered away. Completely. All of it. I didn't even know they did that. Am I naive?

Like the same kind of laser hair removal you can get on other body parts? I guess you can do it for pubic hair, too. Isn't it crazy expensive, though? And I think it only lasts a couple of years (which, obvs, is way better than shaving). But for some reason I have this idea in my head that it's hundreds of dollars to have done.

afaik it lasts more than a couple of years if you get the requisite number of sessions, and it is generally hundreds of dollars per session. It depends on the areas you have done.

Oof, too rich for my blood. Same with the teeth-whitening thing they offer me at the dentist - I inquired about cost once and it was "on sale" for $400. I think I actually laughed aloud.

Yeah, my doctor told me (and I won't go TMI into the fun I've been having to have that conversation) that it can increase the chance of thrush by interfering with the balance down there. Which you know, not fun.
