i will always be perplexed by folks who act like there's always been a single "traditional" marriage definition and that it's always been one legally consenting man + one legally consenting woman.

anyway, good on scotland for moving forward with this.

Yep - the churches didn't even get involved in marriage until relatively recently, historically speaking.
