I am really pleased that the football players union is supporting the housekeepers. Maybe it is a sign of some renewed, real labor solidarity?
Shame on Hyatt for its exploitation of housekeepers. To go so far as oppose a regulation requiting fitted sheets in hotels is on a par with opposing long handled hoes in the fields--it betrays a callous indifference to the physical wellbeing of laborers. And I continue to believe that the use of temporary labor for non-temporary work should be illegal.
