NEW YORK (CBSNewYork.com) - You are now free to move about the country.

Unless you show too much cleavage?

So says a woman named Avital.

Avital was boarding a 6 a.m. Southwest Airlines flight on June 5 from Las Vegas to New York, wearing a cotton black dress, flannel shirt and scarf.

Avital claims she was politely chatting with an airline ( Read more... )

Well obviously-- cleavage exerts such massive gravitational force that it has its own event horizon. Everyone knows falling past the schwarzschild radius of a random woman's tits means your plane will be delayed forever.

Is that what you want? Planes delayed forever?

Oh my god. That actually explains my experience flying. The plane has fallen into the deep gravity well of my H-cup Jugs o' Doom! HOLY FUCK I KNEW IT HAD TO BE SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

Okay, there's very little I won't blame on my tits, let's be honest.

I did! I read the comments! The worst part is that I was not even all that fazed by them, just "oh, internet comments." It is such a cross-section of internet comments.

Also dang, what is it with southwest and their clothing policing? Shorts are too short, too much cleavage... if they have a dress code why don't they post it?

Because letting the employees decide what's appropriate on the fly (ha) is working so, sooooooo well!

Yep, cause we all know cleavage is the number one cause of inflight disturbances.

Also people complaining about sharia law need to look at Christian fundies here, and have several seats.

The dress isn't like she's wearing pasties over her nipples. I mean that doesn't matter, but there is nothing a business could even find a problem with the dress....even though they did. I didn't think this would happen in the United States.

What is it WITH airlines seeking to control people's sartorial choices? When I buy plane tickets, I don't recall reading or signing anything that says that I have to wear something that meets all of that airline's staff's approval before I can fly with them. Pay for my luggage and make sure it meets safety requirements, sure. Bring my ID and have to endure TSA measures....sure. But my clothes?
