Missouri legislators passed a bill Friday that allows employers or health insurance providers to stop offering coverage for contraception, abortion, or sterilization if doing so violates their religious or moral convictions. This is sure creating tons of jobs, isn't it?! Keeping us filthy whores from getting medication to keep us from getting pregnant, keeping PCOS under control, etc...wow, my heroes. They're really improving society with this one.

“This bill is about religious freedom and moral convictions,” said Rep. Sandy Crawford, R-Buffalo. “This is about sending a message to the federal government that we don’t like things rammed down our throat.”

Awesome. I'm all about religious freedom and moral convictions. But what happens if giving a woman's employers the right to control her body violates my moral convictions?

Right so these same employers better be offering AWESOME maternity leave, but I tend to doubt it.
