Biden Jr. said on Sunday that he was “absolutely comfortable” with same-sex marriages and was heartened by their growing acceptance across the country, a position that moves well beyond the “evolving” views that President Obama has said he holds on the issue ( Read more... )

Awesome, but this:

The comments, which aides described as the off-the-cuff views of a vice president not known for fidelity to a script, sent the White House scrambling to clarify that Mr. Biden was not articulating an official change in policy, a reaction that highlighted the administration’s unease over the subject.

is just ridiculous

The vice president’s comments are likely to intensify pressure on Mr. Obama, who says he is still wrestling with his feelings about same-sex marriage, to take a clearer stance on it before the presidential election this fall, something the White House has shown reluctance to do.

*snorts*

I'm going to vote for Obama, mostly because hell to the fuck no I do not want Mittens in office. However, it's shit like what I've quoted that irritates the living shit out of me over the President.

Yeah, I know, it's election season and he wants to get those undecided votes and whatnot. However, being so damn wishy-washy over things like this is stupid as hell.

Not the OP, but I'm pretty clear on why I don't want Romney in office.

First, he only wants to get elected. That is his one and only motivation, and he will say absolutely anything to do so. If he thought being to the left of Obama would get him elected, he would do it. So how can I trust anything he says?

Second, um, women's right to choose, gay marriage, taxing the rich, funding education, etc. "I like to fire people!" lol what an asshole.
