I'll be honest, I have ignored screaming in public, but it's a common scam out here to shout and yell, and then when you go to help, another person comes out to rob you. Sigh.

Yeah, having lived in Mass my entire life, I'm not surprised. Shit like this happens on the T all the time. Good for her standing up, and pretty brave for some parts of the area.

Yeah, I'm really not surprised either. Mostly on the T people try to ignore everyone else's existence. No matter what's going on.

ps - I have a good LJ friend who witnesses a guy pretending to masturbate at her, all through the bus ride. She was upset. Did nothing. I told her that that was sexual assault. She said, "I felt violated." Oh well! hhhhhhh

I don't understand your story. Are you criticizing your friend for not reporting it?

thanks for a nice direct and honest question

i am merely reporting it because it is relevant

i think she could be criticized for not reporting it

i think she could be empathized with for not reporting it

i think it could be both

sometimes neither, for some people

here is my judgment: THE INCIDENT ITSELF IS PAINFULLY UNFORTUNATE, to say the least
