In the mid-90's my family stopped drinking some brand of soda because they were printing the pledge of allegiance on the cans, but without the words "under god" on them or something? Apparently there was an email going around about it at work.
Fast forward to 2012, and my grandparents are STILL getting that email forward from people they know.
Forwards are forever, I guess? I mean, there are still email forwards that are typed up chain letters that circulated via snail mail (and plenty more that claim to be, at least).
My favorite part is when they print out forwards and then physically give them to people they know (even people whose email addresses they know).
After they got this email last year and I got yelled at for trying to convince them not to forward it, (and then by their friend because I tried to convince him not to forward it to his friends) I have given up.
I have to admit, I will avoid movies by and/or with people I find odious child molesters. Roman Polanski and Woody Allen, for example.
I won't watch John Wayne movies either, even though he's dead. He made zillions portraying the all-american he-man, and yet was a draft dodger in WWII, a war that left my grandfather damaged beyond repair (and who was drafted even though he was in his late 30s and had FOUR children.)
So anyway, I guess I can't tell conservatives they should watch movies with people they dislike.

I'm sure you do. No, really! All Jane Fonda, all the time.
... Even if that IS true, perhaps your viewers need to jump ahead a few decades? Just a thought.
