Awesome woman! Thanks for sharing her story with us.

(PS- You spelled her name "Delores" in the heading and at the end, but its "Dolores". It's my mom's name, so I always notice how it's spelled.)

This is really disappointing to hear :( But important. Thank you very much for sharing and adding on some more updated perspective! As someone who has never had much knowledge of this movement, things like this are important for me and others to read.

That's disappointing. I assumed she was a socialist since, if memory serves me correctly, she is an honorary chair (I might be getting the exact name of the title wrong) of the Democratic Socialists of America
