Teen rape tackled in Home Office advertising campaign

Rape is not just about violent attacks by strangers, a campaign to raise sex abuse awareness among teenagers says.

The government fears too many teenagers have a false view of what constitutes rape, and are unaware of the risks of being raped by people their own age.

Is this the ad with the teen boy watching himself rape a girl that was shown on breakfast tv discussions this morning? I saw it very briefly as I was leaving for work.

Fun fact: I know a girl who volunteers in Lynne Featherstone's office, and she says there are loads of awesome feminist women there who are always having long chats at work about feminism, social justice, etc. Which gives me hope! :D

I hope this is expanded to other countries. Women and men--especially teens--need to know that despite what they may see in their families, being hurt and coerced is not "just the way things are."
