Good. I don't know how big of a step this is in terms of the leadership coming around, but god knows from what I've heard the North Korean people could use the food, so I'm counting it as a win.

This whole article is sort of good news, but I actually find this element kind of scary - idk, the fact that North Korea is willing to make these concessions for a food package means the famine there right now must be getting bad, like they're on track for the 1990s famine all over again. Those poor people. :/

I really hope that somebody finds a way to keep track of where the food aid goes.

2012 is the 100th anniversary of Kim Il-Sung's birth. The celebration is apparently going to be massive; there was some talk about how it is going to be celebrated and what the government has planned for the festivities. I hope that increased food distribution to everyone is a part of that plan.
