I know that the html for source 2 doesn't work. There is something about any URLs for Deadline.com that makes LJ reject your post when you put ANY link to their site -- I wasn't even able to later edit the post to change the URL. And Deadline was the site that broke the original story, so I felt I should at least try to link to them. Sorry, but I spent 15 minutes trying to fix it and couldn't.
Anyway, the link to source 2, the original story at Deadline.com, is here:
Huh! The link worked that time, but LJ still would not allow me to put the link into my original post. Oh well...it's here at the top of the comments for people to see. Thanks!
Booooo! They just want to control everyone. Better to have a completely dull night with flat, prepackaged jokes, than possible risky behavior that'll make the show something to talk about later.
(cool story bro time) I work most years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for one particular venue who is mostly known for their massive upside down purple cow. Last Fringe we had a (very bad) comedian do his flyering on the Royal Mile dressed as Colonel Gaddafi, and promptly got bottled by an irate Scotsman for it. It's never really a good idea to walk around as a notorious dictator anywhere in the world...
