I REMEMBER THE WEIRD FOOT BUSINESS. How strange that so many feet should wash up on the shores of British Columbia.

I just found that it has its own Wikipedia entry.

A forensics expert described pretty early on that this is happening because of the design of running shoes. The science to explain it is there...but it's still weird. I hadn't realized there are now 2 sets which is maybe weirder.

I'm glad to hear they are finding out who these feet belong to. I've been curious about this case since I first heard of it. I guess the lesson to take away is to always wear buoyant shoes when boating so if you fall overboard and drown they can eventually find you and your family will have some closure.

I was just reading the Cracked article about this! Very interesting. I'm glad the family can have some closure now, grisly though it may be.

i remember one of the feet was found fairly close to where we lived on Van isle and everyone was like "IT HAS TO BE A SERIAL KILLER WITH A FOOT FETISH"

i love that they had figured out whats causing the feet to float ashore, and that they have figured out who some of them belong to. its nice that they have that closure.
