There's a burrito place near my college that uses that slogan: fresh, never frozen. I may never be able to eat there again.

i think it's awesome what he's doing, and it's based on the informed consent model i see no harm in it at all.

I wonder if the mothers keep their children aware of each other.

there is the donor sibling registry website that allows for contact to be maintained for parents and half siblings. participation is of course voluntary.

This, I think there was an article in newsweek recently about sperm donors and that some can have like 50 kids and not know.

that's the only part of sperm donorship that makes me a bit nervous, knowing you might have at least that many siblings out there. I mean, this world is really small. I also wonder, when selecting a donor, if the "paperwork" tells you if their sperm is frequently used. This obviously wouldn't take into account the amount of children produced by each woman/couple.

While searching for the answer, I found this:
http://www.parent24.com/Getting_pregnant/conception/Super-dad-fathers-74-children-20111018

74 kids from one donor.

If a woman wants to get a random stranger to father her child, why should that be anyone else's business? People have gotten tainted sperm going through official sperm banks. The bottom line: There are never any guarantees with a sperm donor.

People have gotten tainted food at restaurants, so I guess there's no point in health inspections either?

The FDA alleges that Arsenault did not take the legally required precautions to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.

Yeah... if true, then I'm not sympathetic. It doesn't impress me that he puts medical records up on his website; what's to stop him from putting up fraudulent documents? I get a narcissistic vibe from this guy, tbqh, not helped by his whining that he should be a special exception to standard medical regulations.

But he's also a virgin, from the full article.

That doesn't mean he doesn't have anything, especially if he's only a penetration virgin~*

The pearl-clutching that's going on about this here in the bay area is hilarious.
