To the "chocolate" thing- what the actual fuck. How does this person still have a license?

...If I had holy water thrown at me, I'd do an impression of the Wicked Witch of the West. And then I'd be like, "No, seriously, are you for real?"

I WISH SOMEONE WOULD DO IT, FRANKLY.

WTF!?!?!

Even if by some chance she was actually referring to the chocolates (which I don't buy for a second), she's still so fucking stupid to not realize that would most likely be taken in a very negative way especially when referring to someone who is black.

Yeah, that sounds believable.

I'm kinda interested in the Holy Water incident. How'd she react when absolutely nothing happened after she threw the water? I'm better she expected some Wizard of Oz levels of melting.

I swear that was posted here-- I'll see if I can find it. Much more fun than cleaning my kitchen!

EDIT: It was a lot longer ago than I remember-- for some reason I thought it'd happened recently. But here is the link.

Thanks for the link. Confirming my sentiment that this woman should have been fired long ago. The most disgusting part about that was the way she and her defenders wanted to get the atheist teacher in trouble for having been assaulted.

This isn't the first time Ranier has had an issue, she was re-assigned after her and another faculty member reportedly threw holy water at an athiest woman.

She should've been fired, not ~reassigned~, after this incident; then she wouldn't have had the opportunity to go on to be publicly racist to this kid.

This! She threw something at someone. Yes, it was water, but still.

Exactly. I just went back and read the old article; she threw something at an unsuspecting and unconsenting person (which I'm pretty sure gets classed as assault, even if it was only water), in an act of obvious religious intolerance, in front of a classroom full of students. This woman should not still have had a job almost two years later.

Holy shit. This woman needs to lose her teaching license.

What's with this unpaid suspension bullshit? Isn't Florida like one of the most anti-union states in the country? Even in a supposedly union-friendly state like mine, she would have been gone after the holy water incident.

Every single employer I've ever had was... very adamant in their discouragement of unions.

Honestly, the education system here is a joke. This story, disgusting as it is, isn't that surprising.
