I dont watch Maddow so I dont know if she took him to task any further, but what he needs to be called out for is the irony of his using tropes about "Aborted Black Babies" without acknowledging how inherently and disgustingly racist that shit is, in and if itself.

But then, if he refused to acknowledge the already insidious racism of his boss's phrase choice (i.e., "Food Stamp President"), then he wouldnt in that other context, either. Still, he needs to be called out for it.

The "BUT THE PARTY OF ABE LINCOLN!" is weaksauce artful dodger bullshit for all the obvious reasons, not least of which is that Lincoln's "anti"-slavery narrative during the Civil War was one of well-documented political expediency, not of altruistic concern for black slaves. And I quote the man himself:
