I really, really hate that we're so willing to pour money into the military and the banks, and not towards people who actually need it. My ex (an RAF hopeful) used to BAWWW about tiny cuts to the military budget all the time, but frankly, if it's a choice between his flying lessons getting paid for and poorer families getting to eat, guess what I'm going to pick?

I agree, and I'm bloody disappointed in Labour that they are not reading and arguing the stuff in this article. If they're going to accept that there have to be cuts somewhere, fine, but they should be doing their job and challenging the govt to make better decisions than this.
