President Barack Obama on Friday took aim at his government's own messy bureaucracy, prodding Congress to give him greater power to merge agencies and promising he would start by collapsing six major economic departments into one. Soooo it streamlines the bureaucracy, saves money, and ensures the balance of powers remains intact while simultaneously guaranteeing a relatively prompt action from the legislature.

Of course the Republicans hate it.

For some reason, this was reported on my morning news as "President Wants More Power" something like that, to which I said "WTF?"

But the idea sounds reasonable. Congress should work with President to make it happen.

"American small businesses are more concerned about this administration's policies than from which building in Washington they originate," Buck said.

This is from experience, but it doesn't seem to me like most small businesses even know the government actually offers services to help them succeed (most of them for free, since they've been prepaid with taxes). Shocking, I know, since government's just here to suck us dry, amirite?

You would think the Republicans would respond positively, but you'd be wrong. Because that'd be too reasonable. Why streamline anything when you can make it hard and beneficiary to you?
