I'll admit that I've "used" my friend as my "girlfriend" to fend off drunk straight guys in gay clubs (didn't work), but she has also used me to fend off drunk straight guys at house parties (also didn't work).

Fending off is one thing, using a lesbian to *attract* boys attention is another. I had a friend do that with me in college. I had a crush on her at the time, so I went along with it- ugh. Yucky Yuck feelings afterwards.
