So basically they can't even go to church anymore on Christmas. It would be nice if the different religions could actually find a way to get along.

I hate to sound like I'm using the old 'but it's not religion it's ~extremism~' thing, but given the group in question is also attacking members of their own faith, maybe it is less of an interreligious problem than one of fundamentalism.

And in this case, "can't they get along" really is a false equivalence. One group is massacring another; it's not a two way street.
