WARGLE IT'S JUST A SERIES OF TUBES ARGLE.

It's amazing that some of the biggest companies on the internet are against this, but Congress is blindly charging on, prodded by lobbyists from the MPAA/RIAA. Because obviously, the biggest players on the internet have no fucking clue what's going on, right?

hdu, Congress isn't blindly charging in. They have reports, in the form of campaign checks from MPAA/RIAA. That tells them all they need to know.

The Channel Awesome crew are apparently heading to D.C. to protest SOPA and speak with their senators and reps. I can't help but think that Congress won't know what hit them. It'll be like when Dee Snider testifed, they'll be amazed that he actually, y'know, is an intelligent human being.

They did and I believe it was Angry Joe, Spoony, Linkara and Rob. /was reading their tweets about it/ I think Nostalgia Chick put up a video about the experience too, though I haven't watched it yet so I can't say what the content is or what it covers.

Spoony put up one. VERY enlightening to the problem: Apparently a huge number of the people they talked to didn't realize SOPA would kill an entire domestic industry.

I plan to watch it later.

Yeah, not surprised. From what I can tell very few people in Congress have done their research. BUT WHY SHOULD I BE SURPRISED BY THAT? >_
