Well, if the legal system is anything like it is in america, then this is just the lawyer doing the best job they can.

That's just what I was thinking-this was a lawyer's stunt.

Personally, I think that courts should be allowed to chastise lawyers that pull stuff like this. It wastes the court's time, and above all it makes the lawyer in question look like an idiot.
