Seriously, when we first moved to my place, it was overflowing with mice and rats who lived in the ivy in front of our house. A year later and our house is rat-free. My cat Tiger caught and gave us over 30 rodents as presents, then she'd be strutting around the yard the rest of the day.
I only ever had one mouse in the efficiency apartment I lived in.
My cat chased it, played with it, picked it up in its mouth, carried it to the bathroom... and then dropped it fully alive and failed to catch it again or even try very hard. She had other things to do. Like sleep.
Our mighty mouser is a neutered tom. he's 12 pounds. He's been known to leave us 3-5 mice a day when he finds a nest.
I was pulling out driveway the other evening and noticed him on the wall. He went LEAPING off into the pachysandra... and then popped back up holding a mouse. GOOD BOY.
He also cheats on us with the other neighbors. he's got at least two more people that feed him. But he brings us the mice, so we know he loves us best. (that or the neighbors shriek instead of telling him he's a good boy) a BIG boy.

I think she and Larry would get on quite well.
