New Cain Accuser Steps Forward with Detailed Allegation

A Chicago woman just told reporters that in a 1997 encounter with Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain in Washington, D.C., he reached under her skirt and tried to pull her head toward his crotch.

A Cain spokesman calls the story "more false accusations."

Cut for triggery description of assault )

I don't think it is.

I was watching CNN awhile ago and they seem to think that the sexual harassment charges are a non-issue. It was incredibly depressing to watch.

It boggles me how so many can come forward and still people are like "oh those lying women, look at them go!"

This so much. Especially because when a woman starts talking about sexual harassment she's suffered she gets branded as a liar, golddigger, or other hurtful things. There is no way someone wants to get dragged through the mud just for freaking funsies.

What's really mind-boggling is that if the woman say that they are sexually harassed people keep saying "Well there's no proof," and if there is proof (i.e. audio recording or video recordings) the same people will go "Oh well why did she record in the first place if she didn't have nefarious intentions."

It's really a lose-lose situation.

I just...cannot. sunoftheskye November 7 2011, 20:51:35 UTC
Male sexual nature is a taboo subject, not fit for public airing. As a result, we are naïve about male sexual nature. Despite what we learned in college, men and women do not have identical sexual natures. Men think about sex all the time. I’m thinking about sex as I write this. In fact, I’m thinking about sex as you read this.

Not only do I think Sharon Bialek tells the truth, I think Herman Cain acted honorably once he realized he made a mistake. If an attractive woman flies across the country to see me about finding her a job, I’m not taking the premise of that meeting at face value, either. There’s no man in the world who isn’t guilty of an “unwanted sexual advance."

Excuse me...?

EXCUSE ME??
