Hi,

We tend not to allow advertising of other comms unless it's been cleared with the mod team first.

Everything else is great - and somewhat disturbing - but could you remove the plugs for your own comms?

Definitely - I'm with you - I hate when people don't use cuts. This post was submitted a day earlier, w/ the graphs under a cut, and was not accepted, ha.

I love that we have tags such as "charts 'n shit" and "stats bitches." In fact, I think "stats bitches" is my new favorite tag on LJ ever, including bad_service's "beans! beeeeeaaaaaaans!!"

There's a story behind the bad_service one; it was a wank that started over some intractable customer_suck in the drive-thru at taco bell. But honestly, I don't know what it means besides a vaguely demanding and annoying customer.

that's funny - well, you know, the odd scenarios one could imagine involving beans are nearly infinite

while i've experienced strange service while requesting beans or veggies in the past, i'm nevertheless thinking that this rude customer was possibly a vegan

This has been my greatest hope with the Occupy movement. I just want people who believe all the myths about the meritocracy but still struggle and vote against their own best interest (as well as against basic values like health care) to exit the Fox News echo chambers were they live long enough to be exposed to these ideas. I think it could make a big difference.

i agree - it would be a relief just to see that happen!

but i'm thinking this is one of those big 80-year "revolution" type events, so i'm raising my expectations - and just hoping it doesn't get co-opted by the soggy wormwood-heads
