'Occupy' anti-capitalism protests spread around the world

Protests inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York and the "Indignants" in Spain have spread to cities around the world. Tens of thousands went on the march in New York, London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Rome, Sydney and Hong Kong as organisers aimed to "initiate global change" against capitalism and austerity measures.

Well, maybe I am an asshole, but people in Helsinki protest were not the sort of people I want to associate with. Communists using civil war-era rhetoric and old Soviet-admiring stalinists.

Agreed. From what I've seen of the movements, there are a wide range of people who are participating. Some of whom are anti-capitalist, sure, but many arent.

Same here. I went to Occupy London yesterday for a few hours and chatted with a lot of people. It was an incredibly diverse bunch.
