I'm glad that illegal immigrants won't be denied the right to education. Even though they are ILLEGAL immigrants I'd rather have a group of educated people contributing to the economy rather than a bunch of uneducated ruffians starting crime in the future. People tend to not look at the big picture in the long run.
In terms of Mexico because that's where the majority of illegal immigration comes from in the southern states there is a HUGE problem with drug cartels from Mexico right now. The last thing we need are undocumented young people joining a gang because they feel like it's their only option.
And again, what do drug cartels in Mexico have to do with undocumented immigrants who happened to come from Mexico but have been living in the United States their entire lives with no intentions of going back?
I have been utterly pertubed by the negative response to my post. I have mulled it over and re read what I wrote and now I see why people construed my comment as racist. Let me clear up the misconceptions and misinterpretations of my post. I take it that people hear seem to think that when said "uneducated ruffians starting crime" that I was generalizing all mexicans or all immigrants from any country in that group. I wasn't. I meant ALL people regardless of ethnicity who are denied a decent education who feel that their only recourse is turning to criminal activity. Now, not all people who don't recieve an education end up as crack dealers or bank robbers. Some people who didn't recieve a formal education are hard working law abiding people. It's better for any country to have an educated working class who can further the economy not hold it down. People who have a an education whether high school or college can help boost this country down the road. I sincerely apologize if anyone was offended by my comments. I didn't mean for them
