It's gone outside the US, article. It started as an idea by a USer and a Canadian.

I wish more people in the US could see this is a reaction to greed, unchecked capitalism. The protests are about many things but that was the catalyst and that isn't about the US specifically. A lot of people in a lot of countries are affected by BP, for example.

If I was in PR, I'd advice politicians complaining about thousands of people who are underemployed and underrepresented to STFU.

It's spread real far, for sure. I'm studying abroad in Germany right now, and I saw that a group in my state's capital is trying to organize an Occupy event, too.
